Van's First Christmas

Santa was very good to us all this year! Van had a wonderful first Christmas with his Grandpa & Nanna Irwin visiting. With Nanna's help he even opened a few of his own gifts. The most successful gift was his new jazz table - it makes lots of different music and lights up in all sorts of patterns. There are lots of buttons to push and he can stand at it, which makes it even more fun for him.

Kurtis joined us as well, and Josh and I were able to go to Breckenridge snowboarding with him for a day, and Nanna got to spend all day with her grandson. Win-Win! It was my first big trip away from Van, and I thought I did very well... I only talked to Nanna once. The three of us had a great day riding Breck - we got some really good first-runs in on Peak 9 and spent the later morning riding Peak 7. By 2 we were beat and headed home. When we got back Van was calm, but ready to see Mommy & Daddy again.

Everyone had lots of fun - it was a great holiday. The rumor is that we'll see everyone again in the spring... in time for Van's first birthday and the spring run-off (wink!).
