Fall Fun

We've been having so much fun this fall! Yesterday we visited Miller Farm and picked LOTS of vegetables, and we've also checked out Ya-Ya Farm to see the animals and nosh on an apple or two (low and behold: there are other apple varieties besides Gala & Fuji!) Oh, there was a trip to the Texas ranch in there, too.

The ranch trip was a blast! The boys did very, very well on the drives - I'm so proud of them. We got in just a day ahead of our friends. After everyone arrived we had a great time playing around the house and took a trip to Fredericksburg. And it wouldn't be a Texas trip without some Cooper's bbq - yum! Our friends were only there a few days so we got some quiet time to ourselves after they left - it was lovely just hangin' out with Gigi, playin' trains and reading on the front porch.

Now that we're back we're busy busy with fall fun around Longmont! Yesterday we visited Miller Farm - it was a blast! There were lots of tractors to climb on, pedal cars to ride, a big bounce "pillow" to jump on (Momma had fun on that, too) and fields of vegetables to pick! A big tractor took us around to the different fields where we got to pick onions, potatoes, carrots, corn, cabbage, tomatoes and peppers - as much as we could carry (up to 5 bags per person is a LOT). We came home with a car-full of veggies we'd harvested ourselves. It was bushels of fun with great friends!
