Van's First Day of 1st Grade

Van said his first day of 1st Grade was "Awesome!"

He has Miss Carter again!  She was his teacher last year in Kindergarten, and we are so, so happy to have her again this year for 1st Grade!  As well as the teacher, there were lots of familiar faces in his class as well as a number of new ones, soon to become friends I'm sure.  

Lunches!  He said he wanted to buy his lunch (now that he's going full days he has a choice), but when I read him the menu he said he just  wanted the PB & J.  Momma said, "For $3.25 I'll make you one."  So, Van carried his lunch on the first day of school.
