O Christmas Tree

Well, it's that time of year!  Time for the Redmores and Bayons to make their annual trip into the mountains to hunt for our perfect Christmas trees.  This year we extended the experience by going up the night before - brilliant!  The kids LOVED it, and it made for a more relaxing morning for the moms & dads.  Our tree hunting weather was pretty perfect - mid 30s - and there was lots of snow on the ground which made for great crunching under our boots, sled riding and snowball fights.

I am pretty sure Molly had the most fun of any of us though.  She got to be off leash and run with the big dogs, Maggie & Nikita.  I've always wondered about her because she doesn't smile as much as Maggie does (if you didn't know, yes, Aussies smile), but she was all smiles this day!  Such a happy li'l girl!  She and Maggie wore themselves out though, and were sound asleep in the car before we hit the highway.  Van and Wes (and Mom) weren't far behind them.

In the end we came out of the woods with a cute li'l tree the boys love and smiles on everyone's faces - couldn't ask for more!

We came home and before the boots were off the boys were asking to decorate the tree.  Well, Josh got that tree up and lights on in a jiffy!  The boys did all the decorating themselves, and did a great job in this mom's opinion.  Their elves, George & Jack, came that night with new socks and chocolate gold coins to start the Elf on the Shelf season as well.

Cheers! to a fantastic start to the holiday season!!
