The Belly Shot

Susan was such a wonderful hostess for my 'Rado shower! The food was fantastic - a lovely brunch spread of goodies, including mimosas (yes, I had a small one), fruit pizza, mini quiches and smoked salmon w/ capers - yummy!! KT brought my favorite cupcakes and little meringue cookies shaped like booties, too. Lu came in from Texas and Vassu flew in from Cali for the event! Everyone's gifts were so thoughtful and fun, and the whole day was just perfect. :-)
In other news... we got our "family" car back in February. It's a new Subaru Impreza hatchback. We love it! Maggie approves too - it took her a week or so to get used to her new space (she just rode in the back seat of the Cabrio), but now she loves getting right up in the back! Josh already installed the car seat base, cause ya never know. We have an iPod system in it... but only Josh knows how to work the darn thing. I'll figure it out eventually.

Maggie is progressing with her obedience training and doing very well! She's 8 months old now, and just starting to enter the dreaded adolescent phase of puppy-hood - old lessons are somewhat forgotten, her listening skills are a bit selective and she's started to bark a bit more... you know, a typical teenager! We're going to keep working on her basic obedience skills (heel, sit-stay, down-stay, etc) and this summer see what she thinks about agility work.
