Grandma Redmore's & Aunt Shannon's First Visits

Grandma Redmore had a wonderful visit with us and her new grandson this past week! Josh had to travel on business, and "Gigi" was a huge help for me. Aunt Shannon joined for the weekend and we all enjoyed little bits and pieces of downtown Boulder in gorgeous weather.

Josh and I really missed going out to eat. But with such great support people around we felt confident it was time to start taking li'l Van to restaurants. We started with lunch at the Dushanbe Tea House in Boulder, after browsing through the farmer's market with Lu & Shannon. Van was a little fussy at first, but settled right down in Josh's arms. By the time our meals arrived he was happy in his seat between Mom & Dad. Our next attempt was another lunch (the following day) at the Boulder Cafe on Pearl Street and he was a li'l angel! We'll attempt dinners soon, but it was so exciting to go out to eat for the first time in almost two months!

Van is smiling every chance he gets, and "talking" a lot more. He's a morning person like his Mommy - happiest and talkiest right after breakfast. We're seeing the start of what will become laughing. These developments are just such a joy to watch come out in him!
