Let's go a-walkin' you and me...
Wesley's birthday party was this morning! It was such a great time for all the kids, and even the parents this time, too! We held it at Itty Bitty City in Longmont, and I couldn't have been happier with the venue. We set up the food, cake and such in one room and had the whole gym/playroom to ourselves. Everyone would enter and parents could release the kids to just go play - it was lovely and almost relaxing.
We chose a theme of Totoro, as it is Wesley's favorite thing lately. He just loves Totoro! I cut out and painted three big Totoros, and Aunt Kaity did a phenomenal job on a sleeping Totoro cake as well as Soot Sprite cookies. Josh and I put together "bento" lunch boxes for everyone with sandwiches, gold fish (a little nod to Ponyo), cheese & fruit. And of course we had a large Totoro cut out to greet everyone. To top off the visit, all the kids got a Totoro or Ponyo t-shirt when they left (Thanks Nana!)
The party was a huge success - all of the kids seemed to have a wonderful time, and I hope all the households had good naps like we did that afternoon!
Now... on to Christmas!
