Christmas Scavenger Hunt

It's been a very merry Christmas here with The Irwins in town!  One of the very special treats the boys had was a scavenger hunt for their presents from his Elf on the Shelf, George (via Aunt Kaity & Uncle Abe).  Van had lots of fun with Nana finding clues and following them around the house in search of his treasure.

When Santa visited Wesley & Van
Things didn't exactly all go to plan.
He left lots of toys, but some he forgot.
So he flew up to Loveland and made the next stop
At Kaity and Abe's house to deliver the gifts
For Wesley and Van from their Christmas lists!
But Santa was tricky at Kaity and Aboo's.
He hid the presents and left you some clues!
First clue in the house is easy to get:
Look upstairs behind the old TV set!

You've found number one, you clever boys!
You're one step closer to finding those toys!
Now back down to the basement to find number two.
Should we wash some clothes?  Or find the next clue?!

Now back up the stairs to where the dog eats.
The next clue you'll find might have some treats!
Some are for dogs, but some for boys, too.
Look really hard, you'll find your next clue!

Who else's house, except for Aunt Kait's
Has a table display of fake wedding cakes?
Surely you've seen them:  white, green, brown and blue.
Crawl under, look up!  Is that the next clue?

Fireman Sam helped with this next clue.
If there was a fire, what would he do?
Go up to the garage (before Nana retires)
And look for the thing that helps put out fires.
Look to your right, this clue has a bow.
Then quick back in the house - it's cold out you know.

You found them!  You found them!
Hooray!  Hooray!
You can open them now.  Enjoy them, go play!
If they look kind of funny, I wrapped them myself -
Your friend,
Santa's Helper
George the Elf

Thank you Kaity and Abe for a really wonderful, creative and exciting way to give our little guys more joy on Christmas.
