A Hunting We Go!

We've become a  multi-tree household.  Yes.  "Those" people.  We have a "Kids Tree" downstairs in the family room, and a "Big Tree" upstairs in the living room.  The former is strung with popcorn and decorated with non-breakable ornaments and candy canes.  The latter is decorated with heirloom ornaments from Josh's and my childhoods, as well as keepsake ornaments we've collected together on travels.

Our "Kids Tree" comes from a fantastic tradition we have with our friends, the Bayon family.  We all go up to Winter Park and spend the day playing in the snow and hunting for the perfect tree for the boys.  We bring hot cocoa (and a little shot of something extra for moms and dads) to sip while the dads strap the trees to the roof of the cars.

This year there wasn't a ton of snow!  In previous years (as seen in posts here) we've had lots of snow!  Just not a lot of precipitation early this season.  There was still plenty to sled on and to make snowballs with though!

The Bayons had just added a new family member:  Morty.  He's a 2 year old black tri Australian Shepherd... just like Molly.  Morty and Molly had too much fun in the white stuff!  The two had just met for the first time that morning and were fast friends immediately.  They had a blast!

Merry Christmas!
