Last day of Pre-school & 2nd Grade

Well, it's been a while but I thought I'd take a minute to talk about these two brilliant boys ending their school years.  Wes finished pre-school and will move on to Kindergarten next year!  Josh and I are amazed at the progress he's made in his academics, as well as how he's grown into a wonderful young man.

Van will be moving on to 3rd grade next year after making excellent progress in 2nd grade.  We had some bumpy moments, but nothing to fret over.  He is writing in cursive like a pro, has started his multiplication tables and fractions, too!  He also received his 100 Mile Club award for running 77miles this year!!  He got up and out the door early every Tuesday and Thursday morning - rain, snow or shine - this year and we are very proud of him.

On their last day of school Longmont Estates Elementary holds a "Field Day" put together by the 5th graders.  There are over a dozen activity stations set up outside for the kids to play at - it was a hoot to go around with the pre-schoolers (their first time being invited to participate!) and to say hello to teachers and parents, as well as to Van who was out with his class.  They were doing something involving water balloons!  He was pretty wet, but totally siked.

It was a fantastic ending to a great year for both boys.  We are all looking forward to next year... but first comes: SUMMER BREAK!
