Van & the Tramp
Kurtis visited! He was driving from PA to his new summer internship in Grand Junction and stopped off to see us for a couple days. We were super siked to have him - Van most of all! He just couldn't get enough of his cool uncle Kurt.Kaity and Abe came down Sunday and we had a little chill time on the patio - burgers, dogs, a few beers. Van has recently discovered a love of baseball with his new t-ball set, and Abe took him aside and showed him how to hit when pitched to - he did great! And as always, loved time with "A-boo"
Monday we got to take Kurt to the Boulder Creek Festival! The highlight of which this year was Van taking his turn on the bungee-trampoline jumper. He was JUST over the weight limit and when asked (repeatedly) if he wanted to go on he said, "Yes!" loud and clear. I was fine with it until he was actually in the harness and hoisted in the air... then I started to rethink it all. Too late! Zooom!! There went my son, launched into the air by his waist. After the first jump I saw he was having fun and just laughed.
He met up with his pal, Brody, and they got to play and have lunch together, and got to ride the train together, too!
It was a great day, and we were sad to see Kurtis leave, but excited for the job he'll do this summer. And we'll see him in just a few weeks for the big wedding!! T minus 27 days and counting...
